How do I know I have something worthwhile to say?

         If you feel passionate enough to consider writing a book, I’m sure you do. It is always a good idea to see what books are out there already and to see how your book fits into the niche. Does it address the problem in a new way? Does it add to the body of knowledge? Is it more accessible, funnier or full of entertaining stories? There are lots of reasons your book will add to what’s out there, but the research helps you be more certain that it will.

I’m not a great writer and I don’t know all the rules of grammar. Should I even try?

         Absolutely. You can get coaching and hire an editor to fix grammar mistakes. You can also learn the most common mistakes and basic rules in our e-kit. Don’t let grammar stop you. Just make sure you have a plan to have the book well edited (and don’t depend upon a “self-publishing” company—in order to give you a competitive price, they’ll skimp on the editing—hire someone independent). I can recommend an excellent editor if you want.
